Conductor Casing / Wellhead Welding

Fairtex Group provides conductor casing and wellhead welding services for the offshore oil and gas environment during drilling activities. Our services cover deepwater offshore, shallow offshore, and swamp areas, focusing on the pre-fabrication of conductor casing and wellhead welding.

The scope of work includes:

• Qualification of a suitable submerged arc welding procedure for joining the HP and LP wellheads to the casing material, ensuring compliance with applicable specifications.


• Receipt of free-issue wellheads and new replacement casing extension sections.


• Set up and weld the LP housings to the wall casing extensions.


• Removal of remnant welds and HP housing adaptors, followed by re-machining weld bevels.


• Set up and weld the HP housings to wall casing extensions.


• Heat treatment of all welds in accordance with the weld procedure specifications.


• Grinding flush all butt welds on OD and ID.


• Conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) and hardness testing in accordance with client requirements.


• Painting bands and markings onto the HP and LP wellhead joints as per client specifications.


• Preserving wellhead joints for long-term storage.


• Protecting and preparing joints for shipment.


• Compiling and submitting quality assurance (QA) documentation.
