Drawworks Services

Fairtex Group offers comprehensive drawworks inspection, repair, and servicing in compliance with API 7K and API 7L standards.

Our onsite services include inspections, repairs, full five-yearly servicing, and recertification, along with the provision of all associated parts. Additionally, we provide ongoing condition assessment and monitoring to ensure the optimal performance of your drawworks.

Effective maintenance of your drawworks entails inspecting and servicing the primary load path, which includes components such as the main drum shaft, service brakes (band or disc type), emergency brakes, spline couplings (where applicable), the drawworks frame, and its foundations, connecting it with the rig floor.

Fairtex Group can supply parts and perform overhauls compatible with drawworks makers and trademarks such as National Oilwell Varco (NOV), Wirth, Drillmec, Gardner-Denver, Continental Emsco, National, Ideco, and others.

Drawworks are a critical component in the drilling assembly, primarily used for tripping in and tripping out functions during drilling operations. They also play a crucial role in managing downhole accidents, initiating the breakout and makeup of the rotary table, and supporting other operations. Drawworks typically feature roller bearings and alloy steel shafts, with parts that require lubrication under pressure.

Parts Information:
Some of the essential components of drawworks include sprocket teeth with hardened contours using standard frequency induction. Additionally, gear shift clutches are often of the involute spline type, ensuring efficient operation and longevity.
