For power plants near coastal or onshore areas, two-stage filtration systems deliver optimal results. Typically, the first stage uses pocket filters, while the second stage includes cassette filters, effectively preventing particles and moisture from reaching the turbines. For even higher filtration performance, a three-stage system can achieve EPA purity levels (ISO ePM1 > 95%).

Power plants near deserts face unique environmental challenges, such as high dust from storms and elevated morning humidity, which influence the choice of air intake filters. Filter cartridges, especially cylindrical or conical types, are commonly used in these conditions with optimized pulse-jet cleaning.
