Fairtex Group provides corrosion control services and specializes in cathodic protection services for the survey, design, installation, application, and maintenance of all kinds of cathodic protection systems to protect buried and submerged structures, as well as structures containing embedded or in-contact-with corrosive electrolytes. Our mission is to preserve and safeguard your assets from the effects of corrosion and enhance their lifespan.
Fairtex Group can offer cathodic protection services with the following certifications:
- Cathodic protection design and engineering
- Cathodic Protection CP-1
- Cathodic Protection CP-2
- Cathodic Protection Specialist CP-4
- NACE coating inspector Level-1 CIP-1
- NACE coating inspector Level-2 CIP-2
Fairtex Group specializes in the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of a variety of onshore, offshore, and civil (concrete) based impressed current and sacrificial anode systems. These systems include pipelines (oil, gas, water), steel-reinforced concrete, storage tanks, bridges, tunnels, marine vessels, offshore platforms/FPSOs, mine sites, petrol stations, wharves, jetties, and ports.
Cathodic protection systems for offshore structures Cathodic protection (CP) is a technique used to control the corrosion of a metal surface by making it function as the cathode of an electrochemical cell. This is achieved by placing another more easily corroded metal in contact with the metal to be protected to serve as the anode of the electrochemical cell.
We supply both third-party and our proprietary CP materials, including but not limited to:
- Impressed Current Anodes
- Sacrificial Anodes
- Calcined Petroleum Coke Breeze
- Cathodic Protection Cable
- Rectifiers
- Test Stations
- SentryPoint Continuous/Remote Monitoring Equipment
- Deepwell Accessories
- Reference Electrodes
- Current Interrupters
- Insulation Checkers
- Field Survey Equipment
- Test Equipment
- Tapes & Wraps
Offshore cathodic protection services Our services encompass but are not limited to:
- Offshore pipeline and structure CP retrofit design and independent review/audit of third-party CP designs
- Pipeline/coating surveys (including DCVG and CIPS) and conducting feasibility studies and CP assessments
- Designing and installing CP
- Surveying existing and/or new facilities and conducting annual surveys, along with preventive maintenance checks
- Offering a wide range of CP materials, equipment, and tools
- Evaluating the performance of existing CP systems and providing corrective recommendations
- Supervising CP installations and offering engineering consultations
- Verifying the accuracy of CP tools
- Leading in providing precise soil conductivity measurements through geonics surveys, soil box resistivity measurements, four-pin, three-pin, two-pin, and single-pin soil resistivity measurements
- Supplying a wide variety of CP materials, including galvanic anodes, impressed current anodes, rectifiers, solar systems, junction boxes, test stations, oil access boxes, remote monitoring systems, and backfill materials
Pre-installation CP testing and engineering services Fairtex Group can provide pre-installation testing and diagnostic engineering, cathodic protection design, cathodic protection installation, post-installation engineering, and pipeline integrity management.
